The Taiwan Financial Ombudsman Institution (FOI) Board of Directors convened and elected Ms. Grace Mang-Chih Lee as the Chairperson of the Board. Prior to joining the FOI, Ms. Lee was the former Director General of the Insurance Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC).

She has profound experience in the areas of financial consumer protection law, insurance law, and regulation of the financial markets. The key positions she has previously held include Chief Secretary and Director General of the Department of Legal Affairs in the FSC.

Regarding the future development of the FOI, Chairperson Lee has stated that she will continue to fulfill the purposes of the Financial Consumer Protection Act; to resolve financial consumer disputes in a fair, reasonable, and effective manner to protect the rights and interests of financial consumers; and to implement education and awareness programs for financial consumers so as to prevent financial consumer disputes. Furthermore, the FOI will continue to cooperate with the FSC on financial policy to improve the wholesome development of the financial markets.
